2009 Round Hill White Zinfandel
The minute you pull the cork, aromas of sweet watermelon, kiwi and freshly picked strawberries are evident. With your very first sip, you will taste the cranberry fruitiness and sweet citrus of a mandarin orange, alluding to a faint reminder of rose petals. Food Recommendation:
Wonderfully refreshing and more versatile than you may originally think, this wine is a wonderful complement to spicy green Thai curry, Cajun shrimp and Italian pizza. For dessert, serve with a fresh slice of strawberry shortcake and warm apples over a scoop of home-made vanilla ice cream.
Winemaker's Notes:
The 2009 harvest brought the second largest California crop in history. Plenty of rain during the spring helped to quiet winter drought fears and the relatively temperate growing season brought in fruit of exceptional quality.
